HCG Software releases HCGPrevisionâ„¢ 2.5

HCGPrevisionâ„¢ is a low cost, easy to use application, designed with the end user in mind. Since the initial introduction of HCGPrevisionâ„¢ in October of 2005 HCG Software has been working on significant improvements in features and the overall ease of use and performance of the application. New features in this release include sequential write back reporting and managing summary level data.

“This new write back capability is amazing,” according to Brandon Frost, Director of Software Development. “We allow a company to massage their data back to the data base using company defined formulas and drivers, and to make this data available for future analysis. What we have done allows clients to more easily manage summary level data and provides added improvements around the importing, removal and changing whole sets of data within the system. As an example clients are able to calculate a flex budget for a given period (using a write back report), spot check those numbers for accuracy, remove the entire period if incorrect, adjust the formulas and drivers in the write back flex report, and then re-calculate the flex budget.”

Explained Frost, “If you know Excel you know 80% of what it takes to build a simple report or work through the budgeting process. Adding data from a report is as easy as selecting from a list and picking where you want it to go in a worksheet. Rather than learning a reporting tool for each application you have, you can use one reporting tool for all your applications, and it puts your data directly in Excel, but still tied to the data base. It does multi-dimensional analysis, has drill down capabilities, plus all the regular analysis capabilities of Excel. Users can create batches of reports and distribute them, or send spreadsheet copies of reports to people who don’t have HCGPrevision. It is so easy.”
